The story behind BEARHEIM
BearHeim was built on the idea of home.
The kind of place that feels warm, a little lived in, and full of the people you care about.
This story begins with Arseny.
His journey started in far North Asia, moved through Europe, and eventually brought him to the United States. After years in Chicago and across the Midwest, he found his way to Maryville, Tennessee. A place that now feels like home.
Along the way, his camera was always there. From the cold landscapes of Siberia to the quiet canals of Venice, to weddings full of connection, live music in Chicago, and the energy of gatherings and businesses coming to life, photography became a way of holding onto where he had been and the people he met along the way.
That idea stayed.
And it became BearHeim.
Kristen brings another layer to that story. Rooted in Maryville, she brings a background in design, marketing, and a deep understanding of community. Her focus is on how things feel, how they are seen, and how they are remembered. Together, that balance shapes BearHeim into something intentional, not just in the images, but in the experience as a whole.
We believe the best moments are not staged, they are lived. The quiet ones, the in-between ones, the ones full of life and movement. The kind you do not always notice until later, but never want to lose.
A musician at heart, Arseny has always been drawn to life, energy, and rhythm. To spaces filled with people, sound, and connection. That sense of movement carries into everything we do, while Kristen brings a grounded sense of detail and design that shapes how everything comes together. It shows up in the way we pay attention to detail and the way we create something that feels natural, not forced.
Over the years, Arseny has learned from and worked alongside photographers who shaped his craft, but what defines his work is not imitation. It is the constant search for a new perspective, something honest, something worth holding onto. That mindset continues to shape the way we approach every story.
We keep things easy, a little playful, and true to you. Because the best moments are not the ones you plan, they are the ones you fall into.
From quiet moments at home to big gatherings and the spaces that hold it all, we capture what matters, wherever it happens.
At BearHeim, there is no idea too small, no moment too ordinary, and no story without value.
This is a place to create something that feels like yours.
Something you will come back to.
